About me
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC San Diego. I work in the interdisciplinary field of computational mechanics, which sits at the intersection of engineering, computer science, and applied mathematics. In particular, I develop numerical methods that use flexible, automation-friendly representations of geometry, as found in isogeometric analysis, immersogeometric analysis, and meshfree methods. This work is driven by diverse applications, including aerospace engineering, material science, biomechanics, explosions, and turbulent industrial flows.
